This vintage-inspired hand-painted sign was created for the coffee shop at Clare's Harley Davidson in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Diana Sweets was originally opened on St. Paul St. in downtown St. Catharines in 1920 and all the original interior fixtures are now operating out of Clare's as Diana Sweets. I was commissioned to create a sign and menu board combining Diana Sweets with a touch of Clares HD. The sign is meant to look like its been around a long time. Instead of the original "Diana" in the shield, a portrait was done of Mr. & Mrs. Clare when they first opened Clare's Cycle & Sports in Fenwick, Ontario in the '50's.
March 7 09 is the open house of Clare's Harley Davidson store.
Make sure you have a look at Diana Sweets and stop in for a 50 cent cup of coffee! Guaranteed to bring back memories.
